Our Mission Statement

Muslim Teachers’ Association (MTA) serves to support and advance teachers in their professional development. Its purpose is to address the specific needs and requirements of Muslim students.

500_F_60557458_mMZ9gBxqIIOd2ufC8P097oL4UrcFRbU3It was founded on the belief that Islam with its complete and refined teachings can enrich and enhance the education of Muslim students. The foundation to this establishment stands firm on the following words of Allah (s.w.t):

Read! And your Lord is the Most GenerousWho has taught (the writing) by the pen He has taught man that which he knew not. (96:3-5)

And the saying of the Prophet Muhummad (s.a.w):

Seeking knowledge is compulsory upon every Muslim.

It is our belief that all knowledge is from Allah(s.w.t)?and?all knowledge leads back to Allah (s.w.t). Thus, all knowledge that is dispersed should have an explicit and underlying consciousness of Allah’s existence and His ordained way of life that seeks to perfect a human in all aspects.

History is testimony to the proven approach of Islam towards teaching and learning as early Muslims became pioneers in most fields of study and research and made some remarkable discoveries that have formed and shaped the world we live in today.

MTA will consider the latest research in the field of education, be open to suggestions, consider working with other bodies that have similar aims and objectives and will enter into regular evaluation and review.

The MTA’s purpose is to provide a platform for educators, teachers and parents to exchange resources, ideas and expertise that would benefit and stimulate the teaching and learning of Muslim students.
